Hey humans
Today I’ll do the bookish snob tag and thank you Riddhi for tagging me ๐
Do check out her blog (PS she’s close to 500 followers so why not help her get 500 ๐ )
ADAPTATION SNOB: Do you always read the book before watching the film/ TV show?
Uhh yeah, I like to first imagine on my own and how the book would look like in my fantasy then if there is a movie and I like the book then I watch the movie or TV show so I get to tell others, “This is wrong and instead of this this happened in the books” (I love doing that, IDK why).
FORMAT SNOB: You can only choose 1 format in which to read books for the rest of your life. Which one do you choose: physical books, eBooks, or audiobooks?
I used to love paperbacks so if you had asked me this like an year ago I would have said paperback but ebooks I guess are more comfortable?
Like IDK how to explain and even though the paperbacks have an awesome feeling you can’t read them inside the blanket plus you enjoy a paperback way more after reading ebooks so it makes it more special, and you don’t get papercuts with ebooks as sometimes some books don’t have great quality of pages but are awesome.
As for audiobooks I have never listened to one and nor do I intend to, so for this one ebook wins (please don’t hate me cause of that, they have become more comfortable to me the past year).
SHIP SNOB: Would you date or marry a non-reader?
Uhh I don’t wanna answer this, personal questions, plus I really don’t know.

GENRE SNOB: You have to ditch one genre โ never to be read again for the rest of your life. Which one do you ditch?
Romance, or biological books (the ones with facts about humans and cells and plants and that kinda thing)
UBER GENRE SNOB: You can only choose to read from one genre for the rest of your life. Which genre do you choose?
Uhh I can’t choose, I love mystery, poetry, fiction and FANTASY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(and I think I forgot one)
I can’t choose don’t make me, I am begging you

COMMUNITY SNOB: Which genre do you think receives the most snobbery from the bookish community?
Young Adult I guess?

Youโre right about ebooks making paperbacks more special! ๐๐ and yeah no paper cuts is nice hehe
Itโs always sad to me how many scenes they cut out of books when turning them into movies ๐ญ but if they didnโt do that the movies would end up being 6+ hours long. ๐ they could turn the book into a TV show though! That would be awesome!

IKR!
I got a papercut yesterday night so I remembered it.
Yeah though TV shows can have it properly.
It really would be!

Same! I loooove to tell people what went wrong in the movies, evven if they are bored, don’t care aor are not paying attention. The Harry Potter movies were good, but they were so different from the books! Oops. There I go again.

I like ebooks better too, for the same reasons u mentioned. So no hate Aanya! And I always try to read the book first too!! But, sometimes I watch the movie first, like when I watched the maze runner without realizing the books existed! I don’t purposefully watch the movie first tho! Anyways, cool post!!!

You are right about this, but in reality, most guilty pleasures fall into that category. We’ve just got to own it up ๐

This challenge seems great and so do your answers. I completely agree abouts paperbacks (hence my username) and I feel the movies completely misinterpret what the books were trying to say!

in terms of comfort, ebooks are the best. you can lie any which way and the book doesn’t get too heavy or awkward to hold. plus, you don’t need a light on to read an ebook!
